Words from the artist
I am deeply moved by the vision of rewilding hearts, and I wanted to show that in this piece. The hands working together creating a heart container represents the importance of having community on this mission of reparations and healing. Together we create the space for braving the venture into our hearts, represented by the person walking into the deep cavern inside of the heart. The path this person walks is rooted and leads to expansion and growth as shown by the roots and leaves. The inside is intentionally in the shape of an egg, the place of rebirth and regeneration. In many cultures, there is an egg shaped stone that forms the channel between heaven and earth, this is meant to show how our hearts can be a bridge between worlds. The birds around the outside, eagle and condor, holding the larger container of the heart, representing the balancing of the masculine and feminine ways of being in order for these healing journeys to take place. The green heart at the center is that place every voyager of this journey embarks on, to be one with the heart deep within.

Where Rewilding Hearts began

Rewilding Hearts

I feel deeply blessed to have Jessica Love Awake's vision in artistic form for this amazing community. We sat together at Utah Lake in a birthing creation ceremony of what this vision in artistic form would be like, feel like, from colors, symbols, animals, and more. Jessica is a profound earth tender, who feels so much and has the artistic skills to put them in this visual form.

Rewilding Hearts is what we found. Each of us walks alone into the dark, the seed, the womb, the cave, not knowing what we will become, the way a caterpillar only knows it is a caterpillar until it rises with wings into a butterfly. There we shed our layers and reach the roots of the heart, our ancestors, the land beneath us. Then, changed, we return to be held by the community, each a different story, coming home to our true self again and again through grief and transition.

The following day I went to retrieve a chime I left on a branch to sing to Utah Lake, and as I did a huge eagle came sweeping down in front of me. I was stunned. Then I moved into deep gratitude, having this eagle appear in oracle form. It felt that this was a big 'yes' from the universe and the ancestors. This work of rewilding hearts back to the earth grid felt even more important.

There is an ancient prophecy that says that the eagle and condor will reunite in love. The condor being South America and the eagle being North America. Meaning that all the children of the earth will remember that we are one, not divided by color, race, culture.

When we gather next.

We circle on the third Wednesday of each month, at 7:00pm MT (9:00pm ET · 6:00pm PT). Light a candle, come as you are.

  1. Next circle Jul Wednesday · 7:00pm MT
  2. Aug Wednesday · 7:00pm MT
  3. Sep Wednesday · 7:00pm MT
  4. Oct Wednesday · 7:00pm MT

How the circle moves

A shared arc, held at the body's pace.

The circle isn't a performance. It's a guided passage we move through together, from what's contracted or looping toward what can be felt, named, moved, and gently integrated.

01 Arrive

The circle begins gently. We light our candles, settle in, and each name what feels present, what feels tender, and what our nervous systems can hold tonight.

02 Locate

Together we listen for what is asking to be felt, the belief or story and where it lives in the body as sensation, emotion, contraction, or image.

03 Move

Guided somatic breath, movement, and gentle energy work help the body move what is ready, each of us at our own pace, witnessed by the circle.

04 Integrate

We close by grounding the shift into words and a simple practice, then carry the warmth on into the Rewilding Hearts group between gatherings.

What you'll find

  • Guided somatic practice & breath, together
  • Gentle nervous-system regulation in community
  • Space to share, or simply be witnessed
  • Real belonging with others walking the same road

A private circle, on purpose

Safe enough to be real.

Our circle meets once a month, and the warmth doesn't end when we close. After the circle, you'll be welcomed into our private 'Rewilding Hearts' WhatsApp group: a place to stay connected between gatherings. Come as you are, share, or simply listen and be held. Allow your heart to feel at ease as we keep this fire of connection lit together.
